Highlights
9/12 - 10:00am-Noon, God’s Work, Our Hands - King of Kings will be participating this year in the annual ELCA God’s Work, Our Hands weekend along with other Lutheran churches in the area and around the country. Join us for Sandwich Saturday with We Rise Above the Streets ministry. Head directly to Performance Park at 207 Wyoming St., where they will be serving hot food only, and handing out clothing and shoes. Start time is 11 am, and arrival is at 10-10:15 am. Sandwich makings are still welcomed, as they will restart making sandwiches in a couple of weeks! If you’ve signed up at church, or online through the email link from church, Lisa will be sending your names and the total number to Al-Amin, who leads We Rise Above the Streets. If you want to register yourself, you can, but you do not need to. If you have not signed up, but still want to join us, you can do so by registering at https://www.streetsrecoveryoutreach.org/team. All ages are welcome, including children!
9/12 - 11:00am, 4th Annual BMG Golf Classic at Sycamore Golf Club - Macedon NY. Bring a foursome or just yourself for the golf. Bring yourself and some friends for dinner if you don’t golf. 9/19 - 9:00am, Property & Grounds meeting - join us at church for Men’s Breakfast at 8:00am and stay afterward, or just come at 9:00am for our meeting.
9/19 - 10:00-3:00pm, Women of the ELCA Fall Retreat - at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Camillus. Cost is $5.00, lunch will be provided. The theme will be “I Am Worthy of Liberty & Justice. Speaker: Ciarrai Eaton, Executive Director of the Matilda Joslyn Gage Center. Please RSVP by September 15th to Christine or Sue (see King’s Weekly for contact information). Please bring an item for the St. Michael’s Food Pantry.
9/20 - 10:45-11:15am, Sunday School will begin for children ages Pre-K through 5th grade. Our Sunday School lessons are held on the first and third Sundays of the month after worship (10:45am). We sing songs, read Bible stories, pray, and do craft activities.
9/20 - 3:00-5:00pm, King of Kings will be the site for the Central Crossroads Conference's participation in the first Upstate New York Synod Advocacy Roundtable.

9/20 - 4:00-5:30pm, Confirmation Classes will begin for students in Grades 6-8. Confirmands will explore the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament in more depth than our younger children do in Sunday School. They will also have the opportunity to learn about Christian history, teachings, and ritual. Our goal is to give young people a solid foundation of love and support for what we pray will be a lifelong journey of faith made in curiosity, humility, and wonder. 9/27 - Breakfast Potluck - Bring something to share and join us for breakfast after worship. For more information, please call the church office.
10/4 - Noon-2:00pm, CROP Walk at Onondaga Lake Park. Prior to COVID, King of Kings was actively involved in the CROP Walk for more than 30 years. It was a fundraiser embraced by the whole congregation, especially the children. The walk is only one day out of the year. Unfortunately, hunger is not. There are multiple ways to donate/raise funds. 11/8 - Volunteer Appreciation - Join us to celebrate our volunteers…YOU! We will gather after worship service and celebrate all that our members and friends have accomplished.
